Self Introduction
Hello, everyone in the U.S.A. I’m Japanese Snacks Samurai.
I am a university student living in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo.
Shinjuku is in the middle of Tokyo.
I also attend a university in Tokyo.
I am attending a university called Toyo University and running this media on the side.
I am not fluent in English, so all the contents of this media are created using a translator.
So I apologize if some parts are difficult to read.
How did you start this media?
Let me tell you how I started this media.
I have loved sweets since I was a little girl and have eaten many sweets.
I would clutch the money I had saved up over the months and buy sweets with my friends at the local candy store, or my mother would buy them for me as a reward for my lessons. For me, sweets were the essence of my youth.
One day, however, a friend of mine who had just returned from studying abroad in the U.S. told me that Japanese sweets were not yet widely available overseas.
When I heard that, I thought to myself, “It’s a shame that people don’t know how wonderful Japanese confectionaries are! I want people to know about it! I want people to know about it!
With this in mind, I launched the “japanese-snacks-lab”.
Vision of this media
The vision of japanese-snacks-lab is “to make the world smile with Japanese snacks.
Suddenly, do you know how many years have passed since mankind was born on this earth?
The answer is 5 million years (there are various theories).
I was born on this earth about 20 years ago, and it seems that if you repeat this 250,000 more times, it will be 5 million years. It’s too amazing to imagine,..!
And the development of Japanese sweets has only happened in the last few decades or centuries.
In other words, it is only at this time in mankind’s long history that such delicious sweets exist.
Don’t you think it is a tremendous miracle?
I want to convey this miracle and the charm of Japanese sweets to people all over the world living in the present.
And nothing would make me happier than to be able to add a little color to everyone’s present moment.
japanese-snacks-lab will continue to commit itself to bringing smiles to people all over the world.
